We would like to welcome into Orthodoxy the newly illumined (baptized) child Sofia Gerzon, who was brought into the love and grace of God’s family through the Sacraments of Baptism & Chrismation on Friday, February 10th. We pray that the Lord’s hand will guide her throughout her future years and keep her healthy and faithful in His ways and in His word and prayer.
Many Years — Mnogaya Leta! On Thursday, January 19, 2012 , the Holy Church celebrated the Baptism of Christ. Three Saints Church began the festal celebrations with the celebration of the Grand Compline and Matins . Over one hundred believers filled the church to the Baptized Lord. At the conclusion, the first Great Blessing of Water was performed in which believers were able to partake of the blessed water. On the actual feastday of the Holy Theophany, Divine Liturgy was celebrated to honor the feast of the Theophany. The Gospel reading from St. Matthew depicted the events in which Our Lord was baptized in the River Jordan. At the conclusion of Liturgy, Fr George preformed the second Great Blessing of Water. On January 7th, the Holy Church celebrated the second - most important feastday, the Nativity of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ. Three Saints Church celebrated the feastday on January 6th with the celebration of the Grand Compline, then following with Matins. The festal Troparion was sung by our Church Choir, who joyfully added to the prayerful atmosphere. The temple was filled to capacity with believers who wished to send up their prayers to the newly-born Savior. On the actual day of the Nativity of Christ, a festal Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Fr. George and Protodeacon Daniel. The temple was then again, filled to capacity with believers who then partook of the Body and Blood of Christ. The singing of Christmas Carols ended the joyous day. CHRIST IS BORN ! GLORIFY HIM ! Today we mourn the loss of one of clerics of the Patriarchal Parishes, Archpriest Stephen Holowach. He was the rector of the Nativity of Christ Church, in Youngstown Ohio. Fr. Stephen unexpectedly passed away today from a heart attack. We pray, that God Almighty will lift up the soul of the newly departed Archpriest Stephen into His Heavenly Kingdom. ETERNAL MEMORY.
